Velum – a limited artwork by Tatjana Bühler
There are moments that neither fully reveal nor fully conceal themselves. They remain in suspension – half visible, half veiled. It is precisely there that "Velum" lives.
The Latin word means veil, curtain, sail. It denotes the boundary between what we see and what lies beyond. Not revelation. Not concealment. But the in-between. Fine art pigment print behind high-quality acrylic glass. Gallery quality. Limited to 12 copies worldwide.
The veil as space.
"Velum" is the most poetic work in Tatjana Bühler's Signature Collection. It doesn't name a feeling – it describes a quality of perception: the experience that the most significant often isn't fully visible.
In astronomy, "Vela" is a constellation in the southern sky – the sail of the mythical ship Argo, with which the Argonauts set out into the unknown. There too: the sail as a threshold between the familiar and the not-yet-known.
Tatjana Bühler limits the edition to 12 copies. You receive a numbered original work that makes visible one of the most subtle human spaces of experience.
Material & Effect
The pigment print is created on the finest artist paper, mounted behind high-quality, gallery-grade acrylic glass. An effect that doesn't immediately reveal itself – and precisely for that reason endures.
"Velum" works well in spaces that hold depth and stillness: in a bedroom, a meditation room, a library, or as a quiet center of a consciously designed living space.
A Gift for Threshold Moments
"Velum" carries the veil in its name – and is thus the most natural work in the collection for weddings, ceremonies, and sacred transitions. Also for people at personal thresholds: initiations, spiritual journeys, moments of transition.
Who this work is made for
For you, if you know that the most important things never fully reveal themselves.
For people who experience the semi-visible not as a deficiency – but as an invitation.
